Currently, Xiaomi is selling its wearable under its MI Brand. Soon, Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi is also expected to enter the wearable market. Last year in November, they launched their first Mi branded smartwatch in China. Apparently, Xiaomi is now going to unveil its first Redmi Branded Smartwatch in India.
Redmi Smartwatch To Launch In India Soon As It Received BIS certification
Recently, in China Redmi brand has unveiled the Redmi branded routers and power banks. However, the company has not launched those products in India yet. As the company has filed a trademark for Redmi laptops in India, soon Redmi is launching its first smartwatch in India as it has received BIS certification.
The Smartwatch which has received the BIS certification is with the Model number HMSH01GE and the registration number R-41150517. With this, we can say that the company is going to launch the smartwatch soon in India. However, there is not much information available about the smartwatch. The Redmi’s Lu Weibing Weibo post gives a hint about the Redmi Smartwatch, which says, “How do you feel about the first Xiaomi watch? Looking for a Redmi watch?”
As per the rumours, it is said that the Redmi smartwatch will be running on wear OS platform and will be powered by Snapdragon Wear chipset.
Last week, there was a post from tipster Sudhanshu which said, the listing on BIS website shows the smartwatch certified under the “Smart watch” category with the model number HMSH01GE. Only this much information is available as of now, but hopefully, we will get more details about the picture and the launch date soon.
