Xiaomi Redmi 8 Launched In India
Performance
The device has been launched in India today; it was spotted on China’s TENNA and Thailand’s NBTC Certification authorities. Talking about the specifications, Redmi 8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chip, which is 12 nm focusing on improved performance and battery savings. The processor is clocked at 2.0Ghz.
Device Variants
The device is launched in two variants, 4GB RAM and 64GB variant and 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. It also supports dedicated microSD slot up to 512GB if the device fell short of storage. Also, the welcome addition provides a P2i’s splash resistant coating.
Battery & Charging.
Moving towards the battery performance, Redmi 8 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with a Quick Charge 3.0 support that can charge Redmi 8 up to 65 percent in less than one hour using an 18-watt charger. But, that is not a component of the box, you will get a 10-watt charger in the box with a USB Type-C cable.
Camera
Redmi 8 has a 12MP f/1.8 primary sensor along with large 1.4-micron pixel size and a 2MP sensor for depth perception on the back, supported by AI. The selfie camera of Redmi 8 is of 8 megapixels.
Pricing
The 3GB variant of the device is available at the price of Rs 7,999, and the 4g variant is available at Rs 8,999. The device has been launched today in India and will go on sale from October 12 on Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi home stores. There are only three colors Redmi 8 is available in, Blue, Black, and Red.
