Whatsapp has announced a few new features for its mobile apps and a web client. Whatsapp will roll out a bunch of new features like Animated stickers, QR Codes and much more to all its Android and iOS users in coming weeks.

The Facebook-owned chat app also said that Jio Phone would start supporting Whatsapp Status feature. Moreover, Whatsapp Web is getting Dark Mode feature.

New Features coming to Whatsapp
- Now, the users can communicate with animated stickers
- User can add new contacts through QR Codes
- Zoom in on any person and make their picture look in full screen, in a group video call
- A video icon in the group
- Dark Mode on Whatsapp Web.
In the next update of Whatsapp, all the users can use animated stickers to communicate. Whatsapp is also bringing a QR Code for the users to add new contacts easily. The company said, “Soon when you meet someone new, you will be able to scan their QR code to add them to your contacts. No more tapping in their digits one at a time.”
Apart from all this, the user can do a full screen of a participant video while on a group video call. As we all know, the group call limit is extended to eight participants in April.
Further, Whatsapp will also add a video icon in a group with a limit of up to eight members. If you want to do a group video call, the user needs to click on the video icon, and the group video call will be started. All the eight members will be connected at once, no need to add individually.
So, these are the features Whatsapp will be rolling out. However, the confirm date is not yet announced, but are expected to roll out in a couple of weeks.
