Soon, you will be able to use the same Whatsapp account on multiple devices. Yes, Whatsapp is working on a new feature Multi-Device support which is in final stages of testing. This new feature will be available for beta users in the coming weeks.

A screenshot is shared by a WABetainfo, which gives us a glimpse of  WhatsApp’s multi-device support. This feature will be soon out for WhatsApp’s public beta programme, but when will it be out for all the users, there are no details yet. As of now, it is expected that both Android and iOS beta users might soon get this feature.

This multi-device support feature will allow you to use one Whatsapp account on four different devices. While using it on another device, you don’t need internet on the main device. We can say, it is similar to Whatsapp web.

According to WABetaInfo, some of the components of the new feature are still not ready. Only chat history sync, muting chats, and starring message elements are ready. However, till the time Whatsapp Beta version will get the support of this feature, all the components will be ready.

Whatsapp will also get multi-device support feature for its desktop version with a new User Interface. On Whatsapp you will see “Linked Devices” option, there you can add your account to a new device. Once you add a device, you will see the list of devices which has the account.

If you don’t want to try out this feature, then you can turn off the option. There is a “Multi-device Beta” option available which you can turn on/off. However, all the features will not be available on multi-device support.

Whatsapp’s Multi-device support feature will be the biggest update of the app this year. From a long time, the company was seen testing this feature, and now finally, the feature is in the final stage.

Apart from this, Whatsapp is also spotted testing Wallpaper feature. This feature would allow you to change the wallpaper of a particular chat. This wallpaper feature was seen testing on the iOS device. And now the company is testing the feature on Android also.
