Vivo X30 Set to Launch in December With Samsung Exynos 980 5G

Vivo X30 will be launched this December after a joint press conference with Samsung in China with Exynos 980.

The Vivo X30 is rumoured to have 6.5″ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The 90Hz trend continues with many flagship phones like the One Plus 7T etc.

The Exynos 980 SoC was introduced at the beginning of September and is the world’s first mid-range chipset with an integrated 5G modem. The SoC is based on the 8 nm FinFET process and consists of two Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores operating at 1.8GHz.

Supports dual-mode 5G and promises up to 2.55Gbps of download speed, and when combined with 4G, it can reach speeds of up to 3.55Gbps. The chipset comes with the Mali-G76 MP5 GPU for graphically intensive tasks. The SoC can handle 108MP primary sensor on a camera setup that can have up to five sensors.

The Vivo X30 will sport a 32MP camera on the front and quad rear camera setup, including a 64MP primary sensor as well as 13MP secondary sensor, 8MP tertiary sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone will have 8GB and 12GB RAM setups which will be paired with 128GB and 256GB respectively. There is no idea if the phone’s storage can be expanded.

The phone has a 4,500mAh battery with 44W flash charge support. The phone will be having Android 9 with Funtouch OS over it.

The Vivo X30 is rumoured to bear the starting price of CNY 3,198 for the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant. The phone is also said to have a storage model of 8 GB RAM + 256 GB priced at CNY 3,598.
