Twitch Studio is the live streaming application launched back in August by a small group of users is now open to the public. Developed as a more natural way to stream and targeted at people who are just starting on Twitch, the program is both interactive and pleasing.

While console players can start streaming quickly, setting up a Twitch channel on your PC includes using third-party software to ensure that all your equipment is detected, and sifting through audio and video mixing. Live Streaming requires an understanding of the occasionally complex ecosystem of software and plugins that make it possible.

Twitch Studio is built to get rid of all that material. It’s programmed to automatically detect items like your camera, microphone, and screen size. It comes with a host of models and warnings that will help you look professional, even if you’re not quite sure what you’re doing.

When live on Twitch, the program will also help streamers connect with the gaming community and fans, including through built-in alerts, activity updates and interactive Twitch chat.

As the streamer becomes more experienced and capable, they may decrease their need for the Twitch Studio. That will be normal as that is what it is intended to do, Provide support for new users.

Twitch Studio is currently only available on Windows PCs, not Mac, iOS or Android with cross-platform collaboration could go further down the road. In the near term, however, Twitch is working to align the program with other Twitch features better, as well as to carry out tools that make it easier to communicate and engage viewers.
