Technology news live updates: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ Specifications Leak

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ has caught the attention of tech enthusiasts after posting impressive scores on Geekbench, an online benchmark platform. Part of the high-end Galaxy Tab S9 series, which also includes the base Tab S9 and the Tab S9 Ultra, the Galaxy Tab S9+ is anticipated to hit the market later this year.

All three tablets in the series are powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 “for Galaxy” chipset found in the Galaxy S23 series. However, the Tab S9+ managed to outperform the Galaxy S23 in benchmark testing, thanks to its enhanced heat dissipation capabilities. The tablet scored 1,974 points in the single-core test and 5,194 points in multi-core tests, compared to the Galaxy S23’s average multi-core score of around 4,850.

The Geekbench listing confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S9+ will run on Android 13 and offer 12GB of RAM. Samsung is also expected to provide other RAM options, including 8GB and possibly 16GB. In addition to the high-end tablets, the company is reportedly working on two Fan Edition tablets, which will be powered by the Exynos 1380 SoC.

While no official release date has been announced, Samsung may unveil its next-generation tablets this summer. The Galaxy Tab S9 series aims to cater to a range of consumers, from those seeking high-end devices to those looking for more budget-friendly options.
