After smartphones and PC, we are using a lot of smart TVs. There are many smart TVs available which has a built-in camera. Or in some TVs, we add a camera for skype or for any other reason. But we always ignore that the smart tv’s camera may spy on you.

FBI says the Oregon branch has given a statement saying, those who shop in Black Friday should be aware of getting hacked. A statement given by FBI is, “Beyond the risk that your TV manufacturer and app developers may be listening and watching you, that television can also be a gateway for hackers to come into your home.”

Smart TVs from LG, Samsung, Sony, and Vizio, have a built-in app to connect to the internet to use apps like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. As it connects to the internet, you have a two-way machine in your room. All those companies, which make the sets can check all your viewing habits like what you watch, how often you watch.

Some of the TVs have microphones in it, which hackers could easily get to listen in a living room. Like, most of the TV allows you to ask Alexa to turn the set on and off.

Better, you choose a good and a unique password for your home router. Secure your password and be safe.
