In the world of Amazon Alexa’s and Google Home Mini, An entry of a Samsung Galaxy Mini is engaging with a Bixby assistant will be an uphill challenge to make a mark.

While everyone was waiting for the Galaxy Home to land in the market, rumors had started that Samsung has abandoned the more prominent speaker for a smaller alternative dubbed Galaxy Home Mini began to flooding the Internet. Well, the Korean giant has today confirmed the rumors by displaying the Galaxy Home Mini at its developer conference.

The home mini looks nice, but not that much different than any of the other smart speakers out there. It has a fabric covering around the outside, along with controls on the top for volume and playback.

The speakers are to ship with Samsung’s Bixby digital assistant, which has been got better over the years. Still, to truly make use of Bixby, you’ll have to use all Samsung devices – while Alexa and Google Assistant are both available in a range of accessories from several different manufacturers.

As of now, there are no pricing and availability details for the Bixby speaker that’s been under beta testing in South Korea over the past month or two. Samsung can either unveil it on stage in a conference or at the CES 2020, which scheduled on January 7th, 2020.
