In China, the company has launched the RedmiBook along with RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook Air. However, Xiaomi has not revealed that the Indian users will have access to Redmibook or its other variants. According to the poster shared by Redmi, we can expect the regular notebook design.
Manu Kumar Jain, the MD of Xiaomi India, said that the RedmiBook might join the line of Redmi products like TWS earbuds, smart TV, power bank, and more. There are reports that the fans can win Redmi goodies by answering a few questions from the website on Twitter.
Expected Price & Specifications
We expect the upcoming RedmiBook will be 14-inch with up to eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce Mx250 graphics, 512GB of solid-state drive (SSD). And the battery life of RedmiBook is of 10 hours per charge.
This will be interesting as to how Xiaomi will cut down the price of its own Mi laptops for the new RedmiBook in India. According to the Chinese market, the RedmiBook 14-inch and 16-inch had a price tag of around Rs.50,000. So, we can expect the price in India around Rs.40,000. However, the most expensive laptop Mi Notebook 14 Horizon’s price is Rs.54,999.
In the launch event invite, the company says,
“Last year, Redmi became more than a smartphone brand with a phone-plus strategy. We have launched products that would complement your phone and your lifestyle, like power banks, earbuds, and smart bands. This year, we took a step further and ventured even into the smart television segment. And now, we have something very interesting coming up. Are you ready to #SuperStart life with #RedmiBook?”
Only the launch date of the laptop in India is announced; no other details about the latest laptop are shared.
