Chinese blogger, @Digital Chat Station, has leaked the specifications next Qualcomm processor model, which is known as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Specs:
Snapdragon 865 chip is going to be the successor to the 2019 release of the flagship smartphones SD 855 and SD 855+. Currently, the Snapdragon 865 has an octa-core CPU with a base clock speed of 1.8GHz, according to a Chinese tipster on Weibo.
This report falls in line with an earlier statement where the Geekbench listing reported the benchmark ratings, supposedly from the SD865.
The CPU is also believed to be 20% faster than the Snapdragon 855+ and the GPU side, the 865 is considered to employ the Adreno 650 which should offer a 20% boost over the Adreno 640.
Like its predecessors, the SoC will follow the same 1 + 3 + 4 core structure. The CPU of the Snapdragon 865 will have 1x 2.84GHz Cortex-A77 (Custom Kryo Core) + 3x 2.42GHz Cortex-A77 Core (Custom Kryo Cores) + 4x 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 Core (Custom Kryo Cores). The GPU is shown to be the clocked Adreno 650 at 587MHz.
It is claimed that the new flagship chipset will be based on the 7 nm EUV process of Samsung and will probably come in 4G and 5G versions.
The chipset supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, which Samsung, Xiaomi, and Sony should be seen as the first manufacturers to integrate it into their flagship devices.
Qualcomm is set to announce the processor Snapdragon 865 during its December 3 Snapdragon Tech Summit. The processor is going to become the processor behind most of the flagship phones to be launched next year.
