Just a day ago, the Indian Government has banned 118 Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile game. PUBG Mobile was so popular in India with millions of players. Now, according to the reports, the gaming app is taken down from Play Store and App Store also.
PUBG Mobile No Longer Available to Download
You can no longer download the app from the Play Store and App Store. If you want you can try to search for PUBG, you will not get any results. However, all those users who have the game installed on the device they can still use the app as it is not yet blocked on the networks. Soon, Internet service providers will block access and you will not be able to play the game. With PUBG Mobile, the other version of the game PUBG Lite is also removed from the Play Store and App Store.
However, the only Mobile app is banned, the PC version of PUBG Mobile is still available in the country. As PUBG Mobile is developed by Tencent, a Chinese company and the PUBG is developed by Krafton, which is a South Korean company.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said while announcing the ban of PUBG and other 117 apps that the apps were “prejudicial to the sovereignty, integrity, defense of India and public order.”
Earlier, the Government banned TikTok app with other 58 Chinese apps in India. Even TikTok was the most popular video creating an app but it was stealing the data of the users. So, first, the app was banned and then slowly removed from app stores and networks were also blocked. With TikTok, the other apps were Shareit, WeChat, CamScanner, UC Browser all popular apps were banned.
Within a very short period of time, the game earned the biggest titles in e-sports industry. All the professional gamers and competitive teams took part in global-level tournaments and competitions from India. Even the live game streaming had a large number of content who was earning good money.
Earlier, also there were news of the game to be banned but at that time the game was not banned. There were various reasons like students addicted to the game, abuse, stealing and suicide.
