Twitter has confirmed that the Personal Website account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was hacked. A series of tweets were posted on the website asking the followers to donate to relief fund through cryptocurrency.

On Thursday, early morning, twitter has confirmed about the hack. Twitter, said, they are aware of this incident and have taken steps to secure the account.
In an email statement, a Twitter spokesperson said,
“We’re aware of this activity and have taken steps to secure the compromised account. We are actively investigating the situation. At this time, we are not aware of additional accounts being impacted.”
The PM Modi’s office did not respond immediately about the questions on hacking.
The account with name @narendramodi_in has 2.5 million followers and it has more than 37,000 tweets from the time it was created in May 2011. PM Modi has posted the last tweet on 31 August about the monthly radio programme “Mann Ki Baat”.
However, the personal account of PM Modi was not affected by the hack. The account has more than 60 million followers with a name @narendramode.
If you are aware of the details, then earlier, in July hacked the twitter accounts of top voices Elon Musk, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and others. However, there are evidence as of now that the hackers are related to this or not.
The screenshots of the hacking are reporting on Twitter which says that the breach is done by a hacker John Wick.
