Mini App Store Launched, A Rival of Play Store
Mini App Store will work slightly different. Like, instead of apps, Paytm will host a link to progressive Web apps (PWAs). These apps will be light apps which will run in a web browser without installing the apps. As of now, the Mini App Store has listed a few of the apps like 1MG, Netmeds, Dainik Bhaskar, Digit, Decathlon, and Republic Bharat.
However, Paytm is planning to bring a list of 300 apps. It also says, more than 300 app-based service providers have joined the programme like Domino’s Pizza, FreshMenu, Netmeds, NoBroker, Ola and more. These apps will soon be coming to the Mini App Store.
Mini App Store is now in beta phase, before rolling out to everyone, the app has become popular. As per the reports, Paytm is bringing the Mini App Store to help small developers and businesses in India. It will help to set-up the apps at low-cost and will be easy to build apps by using HTML and Javascript.
The Mini App Store will be available in the Paytm app itself. The developers will have to pay 2% extra charge if they use credit cards for payment. There will be no charges on using Paytm Wallet, Paytm Payments Bank, and UPI. Paytm will also provide a dashboard for analytics, payments collection and other marketing tools to get a better experience.
