OnePlus has been teasing its new 120Hz Fluid Display which will be seen in the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone. The company kept a special event showcasing the tech and now its CEO Pete Lau has shared a comparison between the regular display and the 120Hz Fluid display. Let’s take a look.
OnePlus’s 120Hz Fluid Display Detailed
The video showcases the MEMC feature as well. The technology will make a regular 60 fps or lower fps video look even smoother on the Fluid display.
Lau says ” If You’ve seen high-quality TVs, you’re no stranger to MEMC. We’ve created a custom MEMC chip that can push ordinary 30fps video up to 120, so any video gets the full advantage of our 120Hz Fluid Display.”

In another post, he also showed a comparison between a 60Hz display and the 120Hz Fluid display. The Fluid display is said to provide effortless scrolling experience and smoothest smartphone experience. It is also tipped to provide a great gaming experience on the high refresh rate screen.
This particular display is tipped to be in the OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone while the other two i.e: the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Lite might come with standard refresh rate panels.
Other than this, the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro is rumoured to come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It is also said to come with a Quad-camera setup at the rear and dual-hole punch camera at the front.
It will sport a massive screen and a bigger battery with support of OnePlus’s Warp charge technology. It will run Andriod 10 and Oxygen OS on top of it.
