OnePlus has started rolling out the latest OxygenOS update from OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus 8 Pro starts receiving the OxygenOS 10.5.12 update in India and for Europe OxygenOS 10.5.11 will be out. If you remember, OnePlus 8 Pro device was launched with OnePlus 8 this year.

The latest update comes with August 2020 Android security patch where so many bugs were seen and then fixed with the update. OnePlus shared a changelog on the forum page and said the update has fixed all the issues and improved system stability.

According the post by OnePlus on the Forum, it has announced the new OxygenOS 10.5.12 update for all OnePlus 8 users in India and Europe. All the users will be getting this update in the coming few days. In the North America region also, OnePlus 8 Pro devices will get the OxygenOS 10.5.12 update soon.

Changes which came in the OxygenOS 10.5.12 update:

  1. Fixed the overlapping character display issue with Ambient display
  2. Fixed known issues and improved system stability
  3. Updated Android Security Patch to 2020.08
  4. Optimised shooting effect with a front camera

In July, OnePlus 8 Pro got the OxygenOS 10.5.11 update. This update brought a different lock screen style and fixed issues like wireless charging, ARCore load failure.

However, with this latest update, many things have improved like performance and stability of the mobile network.

OnePlus 8 Pro comes with 6.78-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display. The display is protected by 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The device comes in two variants 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and the second is 12GB RAM and 256 GB Internal storage. OnePlus 8 Pro has three colour options Glacial Green, Ultramarine Blue, and Onyx Black.

OnePlus 8 Pro has a punch-hole display which has 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor for the selfie camera. It is powered by 4,510 mAh battery which supports wireless charging. The smartphone has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and supports Audio Zoom and Audio 3D features.

OnePlus launched the smartphones this year and the company is working on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update for both OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones.
