Motorola has started to send out invites to the media for an event on November 13, 2019, which will be held in downtown Los Angeles. The invite sent by the Lenovo subsidiary includes a GIF that shows the old RAZR’s hinge followed by what could be the hinge of the foldable RAZR.

The invite also includes the phrase “You’re going to flip” and says that the November 13 event will feature the “highly anticipated unveiling of a reinvented icon”.

The phone is supposed to have 4GB/6GB of RAM with Snapdragon 710 processor which is present in many mid-range phones. Internal storage is rumored to be 64GB or 128GB. The main display is supposed to be 6.2 inches. The phone is supposed to have a 2730mAh battery.

There is no information about a camera, which version of Android or what sort of display the phone will be using.

One of the features as per a  leak by XDA Developers was the Razr’s ability to use the main display as a trackpad when unfolded. This is similar to the One Button Nav found on some of Motorola phones like the Moto G5 Plus, which used the fingerprint reader as a mini trackpad instead of the screen itself.

Like the original RAZR, there might be a display on the outer shell. This could offer more functionality especially with some of Motorola’s apps like Moto Display, Moto Camera and Moto Actions. Currently, Motorola uses a lightly skinned version of Android on its phones that include similar shortcuts.

Rumors say that Google Assistant will be a big part of the device and that there will be a specific feature to trigger it when the phone’s closed. Being able to access the phone when closed with just your voice could be handy and solve some UI issues.

The phone is supposed to cost $1,500 and is scheduled to launch on November 13th.
