MIUI 12 Beta Update: Adds New Partial Screenshot Editor

Xiaomi’s latest version of MIUI 12 was officially out in this year at the launch event in China. At that time, Xiaomi revealed some of the features of the latest OS like new animations, navigation gestures, live wallpapers, privacy features, and much more.

As Xiaomi has rolled out MIUI 12 beta update for few of the devices which have got updates with more features. The new features include gesture navigation support in MIUI camera app and a new Magic Clone feature. Finally, now the new feature is partial screenshot editor.

Recently, the new partial screenshot editor was spotted by the Senior Member of XDA and a tipster kacskrz. In the video, we can see the partial screenshot editor allows you to take the screenshot of a particular part of the screen. Just draw a shape around the screen of which area you want to capture. To use the partial screenshot editor you need to long-press the home button which will open the screenshot editor on the top of the screen.

This editor has three options to capture screenshots, a free form shape, a rectangle, or a circle around the area. You can choose the shape of your choice and take a screenshot. Once you take a screenshot, the area is highlighted, and you will see options to Start over, share the screenshot, edit it or save it to the gallery. There is also an option to adjust the picture by dragging it on any side.

New partial screenshot editor is released as a part of MIUI 12 20.5.25 nightly which will run on any device running on this release.
