MIUI 11 Launched – Here Are Its New Features & Update Schedule

With the launch of Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro in India, Xiaomi has also announced details and release schedule of MIUI 11. A total of 28 Xiaomi and Redmi Devices will be receiving the latest MIUI 11 update in four phases by the end of this year.

MIUI 11 : New Features and Updates

The MIUI 11 is based on minimal design and has a new color scheme along with a new font called Milan Pro. Alongside the new color scheme, the system wide dark mode is now stable. Always on display has received an update with more user control and you can now set dynamic clock styles, animated stickers and personalized lock screen messages.

Mi Work App

The essential apps of Mi that helps you to operate your device has also received major upgrades. Mi file explorer will now show thumbnails with ability to open a doc within the app.

To-do-reminder feature can now be synced to the calendar app to keep a record of your day-to-day activities with the ability to create voice tasks.

The native calculator app has also received some upgrades and now you can use calculator in a floating screen for improvised multitasking. Moreover, you can now send quick replies to avoid any disturbance while playing games.

MI Life

The latest Miui updates focuses on three MI life features, where the first feature is of step tracker which can now be accessed from the app vault on the homescreen of the device.

The MI calendar has also received a new feature that can be useful for female Mi users as they can now keep a track of their menstrual cycle, therefore no third-party apps will be required to keep a track of different activities.

All of these features packed in the all new MIUI 11 will be available to all of the listed MI users in the next two months.

The above schedule suggests that there would be no update for Note 5 series and its predecessors.
