As the current Windows 10 OS will soon end, we will not see any security or feature updates. When Microsoft launched Windows 10, it said that this will be the last version, but the latest teaser confirmed the launch of Windows 11 by the end of this month.

The Windows 10 Home and Pro lifecycle page, shows that the company will retire Windows 10 on 10/14/2025. On the top of the page, there is a banner in blue color that says “Important”,

“Microsoft will continue to support at least one Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel until October 14, 2025.”

On the official website of Microsoft, it shows a Livestream event will take place on 24 June at 11 a.m ET and 8.30 PM IST. The company’s CEO Satya Nadella has confirmed the next-gen windows update and said,

“Soon we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators. I’ve been self-hosting it over the past several months, and I’m incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows”.

As now it is confirmed that Microsoft Windows 10 will end in 2025, we will soon get the next version of Windows which will more likely be called Windows 11. Once the support ends, the users will not be able to contact the company for any issues regarding that particular OS.

Microsoft will give time to the users to switch to the new operating system as we have seen how slowly people upgraded from Windows 7 as it took years to upgrade the OS.

The lifecycle page of Microsoft Windows 10 shows that the latest version 21H1 which was recently launched will have support till 13 December 2022. So, this means, there will be three years till the OS gets retired completely.
