The Mi Band 5 has now been teased with new features in China by Xiaomi. The new Band 5 has support for Magnetic Charging, NFC, and a bigger OLED display than its predecessor, the Mi Band 4.

Mi Band users have had to remove the pill-shaped tracker to charge the device from their band housing. But now finally Xiaomi is adding magnetic charging to the Mi Band 5. You now have to hook a small magnetic charger to the back of the new Mi Band, without having to separate the band and the tracker.
Xiaomi says the sensors on the Mi Band 5 are upgraded, too. Though it doesn’t specify precisely which ones, the image of the teaser tells us that it might be the sensor of heart rate. The company also says it will give updates for monitoring sleep, stress, and respiratory health.
In addition to 11 sports modes, the new teasers confirm previously leaked Mi Band 5 features including women’s health tracking and remote camera control. Once again the company has detailed NFC support but global availability of the feature remains unconfirmed. The NFC can also make Payments through the Applications that support NFC payments.
There are also mentions of an upgraded version of the SpO2 sensor apart from stress and breath monitoring. SpO2 is a sensor used to measure the Oxygen saturation level on the blood.

The color options – Black, Yellow, Red, and Grey. Other teasers show White, Orange, and Brown color options as well. The teaser further notes that the launch event will begin at 2 pm local time (11.30 am IST) on June 11th of 2020.
