Pre-orders of the console was available but were sold out within a few minutes. The stock was available at the retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, GameStop, Walmart and more.
Sony PS5 pre-orders went live first on the Walmart in the US. The fresh consoles were available on Walmart on Thursday night at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET, but the consoles were sold out within a minute.

Don’t worry, if you did not get a chance to preorder PS5, you can order it on 22nd September. Yes, Walmart has released a statement saying, if you have missed pre-ordering on the Walmart website, then don’t worry. Preorder will be available in the Walmart stores on September 22.
Walmart said in a statement:
“Pre-order in Walmart stores on 9/22 for $499 (digital edition for $399). It will not proceed with the planned store pre-order to control store traffic and keep our customers safe and socially distanced.”
After this, it said that the consumer interest in PS5 online has gone beyond the expectations, so they decided to cancel the pre-order in-store. However, all of the customers can get the console once it is released on 12th November.

- Sony: It allowed the users to register to pre-order the console, but now it says “Registration is now Closed.”

- Walmart: Last night within a minute the pre-order was sold out.
- GameStop: You can pre-order the accessories of PS5.
As of now, the consoles are not available anywhere for preorder. But there are chances of consoles coming back soon for pre-order. On any retailer website, you can pre-order the accessories.
