In June, we saw the first look of the upcoming Android TV Dongle by Google. The pictures showed the design, a remote and the renewed Android TV user interface. According to the latest leaks, the code-named “Sabrina” dongle’s price is revealed.
“Sabrina” Android TV Dongle Leaked Ahead of Launch
According to the latest reports on 9to5Google, the upcoming dongle “Sabrina” has appeared on Home Depot’s internal systems. Android TV dongle’s price will be more affordable than any other device. At present, the price of the product is just $49.99. The price is much cheaper than the Chromecast Ultra. It directly matches the price of both the Roku Streaming Stick+ and Amazon Fire TV Stick.
Earlier, there was news that the price of the dongle will be below or around $80. So, the final price is $49.99 as per the leaks.
There are few posts of Google’s ‘Sabrina’ Android TV dongle which says the price of the dongle will be $59, or $60. The exact price of the dongle will be known when the official statement will be out. However, the dongle will release in this month-end, on 30th September.
Apart from price, the leak shows that there will be three different colours available for Android TV dongle. “Rock Candy”, “Como Blue”, “Sky” colours could come in this device.
“Sabrina” might get announce with the Pixel 5, 4a 5G, and the new Nest Speaker at the upcoming event by Google.
The leaks also show some of the specifications of the Dongle. As we don’t know the exact name of the dongle, we can say the Chromecast or Android TV stick. It will run on Amlogic S905X2 processor with 2GB RAM. The device will support 4K streaming at 60fps. Also, it will support HDR and Dolby Vision. There are rumours that there will be a support for HDMI 2.1.
The Android TV dongle will come with remote control and a new UI. A remote will be similar to the common smart TV remotes, but it will have a dedicated button for microphone and Google Assistant.
As earlier also the details of the Dongle was leaked which revealed some software and hardware details. It said that the streaming dongle will look like the Chromecast and will have more functions like Amazon stick.
