As per reports from Midday, Google has offered a huge sum of money to the actor to bring him on board. The deal has not been sealed as of yet but Mr. Bachchan has offered to record from his home due to the Coronavirus outbreak which has locked people in their house. Google has not made any comments regarding this story.

In 2018, Google partnered with film production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) to incorporate dialogs from the film Thugs Of Hindostan into Google Maps of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan ‘s character Firangi. That was the search giant’s first major deal with Bollywood for its mapping service.

This is not the first time this has happened, Actors like John Legend and Issa Rae have lent their voices to the Google Assistant, but only the US and a few other countries are region-restricted. There aren’t any in India.

Other voice assistants like Amazon Alexa also roped in Samuel L. Jackson ‘s legendary voice that users need to spend to allow, making it a steady source of business income.

Google Maps has also rolled out new centric COVID-19 functionalities for users in India and other regions. The app will now tell you the rules to follow when using buses and trains, show you crowded places and you should avoid them, as well as show drivers COVID-19 checkpoints.
