Nvidia has launched the new RTX 30 series graphics card. At a virtual event, the new series RTX 30 series of GPUs is launched. It brings three new graphics cards with a great performance from the previous-generation GPUs.
Nvidia Launched RTX 30 Series Graphics Card RTX 3070, RTX 3080, & RTX 3090
The CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, has launched the RTX 30 series cards which are based on Ampere microarchitecture. This new chip has improved performance at 1.9x power efficiency.
The company said that the new Ampere cards will use fabricated chips. The price of the new GPUs is also revealed. The price of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 is Rs 1,52,000, and RTX 3080 is priced at Rs 71,000. And the third one RTX 3070 is priced at Rs. 51,000.
The CEO said,
“Today’s launch of NVIDIA Ampere GPUs is a giant step into the future. The work of thousands of engineering years, the GeForce RTX 30 Series delivers our greatest generational leap ever. NVIDIA RTX fuses programmable shading, ray tracing and AI for developers to create entirely new worlds. Twenty years from now, we’ll look back and realize that the future of gaming started here.”
For graphics-intensive tasks, all three GPUs has a lot of VRAM and CUDA cores. However, the most important thing is, all three GPUs has improved a lot from last year’s GPUs.
Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070
According to the company, the RTX 3070 is much faster than the last year’s graphics card RTX 2080 Ti. And it is 60% faster than the original RTX 2070. The new GPU comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory which is ideal for gamers who runs at 4K and 1440p resolutions. It will go on sale from 24th September.
Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080
RTX 3080 is a mid-level gaming GPU. It offers up to 2x faster performance than RTX 2080. It will have 10GB of GDDR6X memory capable of 19Gbps speed. This GPU is secured as 4K gaming solution which can hit “60 frames per second for 4K resolution gaming.” RTX 3080 will be available from 17th September.
Nvidia Geforce RTX 3090
RTX 3090 is the most powerful GPU in the list. It comes with an interesting design ‘silencer’ a three-slot, dual-axial, a flow-through design. It is said that RTX 3090 will be up to 10x quieter than the Titan RTX and it will keep GPU cooler up to 30 degrees C.
It comes with 24GB of GDDR6X memory. Nvidia claims that this RTX is 50% faster than the Titan RTX. Cards will go on sale in October this year.
All the three GPUs have brought few new features like support for the new AV1 codec. And these are the first GPUs which comes with support for the new AV1 codec. It allows the gamers to watch up to 8K HDR internet video.
