Facebook has launched a new feature called “Quiet Mode” feature which allows you to mute notifications for a time you want. The company announced this update on its COVID Newsroom post. Turn On or Off the Quiet Mode feature as you need.
Facebook’s New “Quiet Mode” Feature Lets You Turn Off The Apps Push Notifications

Facebook’s new “Quiet Mode” feature allows you to turn off the push notifications of the app. The company announced this update on its post and said it is a way for users to set limits on the app as they can adjust the time to how long they want to turn off the notifications.
Facebook says the user can turn on or off the Quiet Mode feature as they needed or can schedule it to run automatically. For example, if you are working from home from morning 9 to 5 PM, then you can turn on Quiet Mode to run during your work time. So that you don’t use the app and waste time.
While the Mode is on and you try to use Facebook, it will remind you that you have set this time with limiting your time.
When you enable the Quiet Mode, mute all the notifications from Facebook. You can see the details in the Facebook app on how much time you have to spend like by day, week, time of day and much more.
The company wrote on its blog post,
We added Quiet Mode, which mutes most push notifications, and if you try to open Facebook while in Quiet Mode, you’ll be reminded that you set this time aside to limit your time in the app. We also added shortcuts to Notification Settings and News Feed Preferences, so you can make the most of your time on Facebook by controlling the type of posts you see in your News Feed as well as the updates you receive.
Facebook confirms that the Quiet Mode feature is in testing.
