Facebook has launched a new clear and simple logo today to represent the parent company that owns Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and more.
Facebook launches a new Logo!

The new logo by Facebook is just a generic one, and the logo changes colour with which app it on. Facebook the social network, however, will maintain the same blue and white look you’ve been used to for years.
This is how Instagram will look like after the logo Update:

The company says that “The new logo uses custom typography and is designed for clarity, to create a visual distinction between the company and app.”
Facebook is more than just its social network; Instagram and WhatsApp are massive in their own right. At the same time, the company wants to make it more transparent where these apps come from rather than having them act as entirely separate entities.
At the same time, the new logo feels like it could also be an attempt to keep Facebook’s different brands a little more distinct amid almost non-stop controversy. The various logos seem to say that Facebook’s social network does not entirely define Facebook’s company—it just happens that they share the same name and control interests.
