Developers still had access to the data of the group members even after the changes made by the social media giant in April 2018 to remove this feature completely, says Facebook.

At least 11 software developers partners that had accessed the data in the last 2 months were known by Facebook and Facebook has contacted up to 100 developers who still have access to the user data.

This shows that privacy issues continue to weaken the security of Facebook. In March 2018, Cambridge Analytica gathered data of 87 million Facebook users without the consent of the user.

Some months ago, Facebook suspended tens of thousand apps for multiple reasons where developers had access to user data. As of now, Facebook has 2.4 billion users around the world, the company has not revealed the exact number of users whose data has been breached.
