His latest research note, he has said Apple will cooperate with third-party brands to launch its first head-mounted AR product in 2020, with Changying Precision tipped to be the main chassis supplier.
A report by Mr. Kuo in March had suggested that Apple would launch an AR product in 2020, that could be ready by the middle of next year. However, Mr. Kuo has brought forward his predicted time of release and the analyst now believes the launch window for the product will fall in the second quarter of 2020.
Some snippets of code were found in Xcode 11 and iOS 13 that suggested that Apple is working to make an Augmented Reality Device. The AR Headset is supposed to work on a platform called rOS (Reality OS).
These glasses will be kept as thin and light as possible as they will be treated as an iPhone Accessory which would make them pack as less hardware they can in these glasses.

In addition to these reports, Mr. Kuo has also talked about the release of a new iPhone SE 2 that is to be launched in 2020 with Apple’s A13 Bionic chip and a simplified design.
