Apple Update: iPhone Production Shuts In India Due To Covid-19

Apple is suspending its iPhone production in India due to Coronavirus till 14th April 2020. Due to the spread of Coronavirus, everything is closed, and all the events are also cancelled. Now, Apple has also shut its production of iPhone in India as India is lockdown till 14th April. The PM Modi announced about the lockdown on Tuesday. So, the manufacturers for iPhones in India Foxconn and Wistron have shut the production in India.

The manufacturer for iPhones Foxconn has confirmed the news that the production of iPhone is suspended till April 14. And Wistron has also confirmed the report but did not give any details. However, the manufacturers did not provide any details as to which devices will be shut; we can just assume the old models will be affected like iPhone XR and iPhone SE.

Foxconn and Wistron not only produces Apple smartphones but also provides the smartphone in India of Xiaomi. As of now, the Xiaomi company does not give any information on the production shutdown in the country. Many other smartphone makers have also said that they are affected due to Covid-19 lockdowns like Vivo, Oppo and Realme.

As of now, due to Coronavirus, all the smartphone companies have got restricted to their launch events.
