Finally, the Apple TV app is now available to Android TV. So now all the iPad and iPhone users can access its content on more TVs. The tech giant has made an announcement that Apple TV will come to more Android devices, starting from all the modern TVs.

Earlier, this year, Apple TV was available on Chromecast with Google TV, and now the app is available on Android TV and Nvidia Shield. For those who don’t know, it is a streaming device like the Amazon Fire TV stick that allows the user to turn their TVs into smart TVs and gaming rings. However, it is available only in the US and Canada, so Indian users have to wait for it to arrive.

Now, your Android TV has got the support of the Apple TV app, but it requires the latest Android TV 8 Oreo or above. You can check your TV’s setting for the checking the latest version.

How to Setup Apple TV App on Android TV?

All the subscribers should download the Apple TV app from the Google Play store on their TVs. And then you can set it up via your iPhone.

  • Go to Google Play Store and search for Apple TV.
  • Click on Install and wait for few seconds.
  • Apple TV opens without asking for Login, but if you want to watch anything, you have to log in.
  • Go to the Settings page and click on account.
  • There are different methods for logging in, passwords, QR codes.

Make sure you have subscribed to Apple TV+ to stream content. At present, the customers can enjoy a free annual subscription till July 3.

The update is available on TVs of Xiaomi, TCL, Hisense, and more. It is also available for smart boxes and sticks. Earlier, the app was available for Sony TVs and Chromecast with Google TV.
